These terms cover your use of kemalwhyte.com, the personal and professional site of Kemal Whyte, founder and CEO of Rebel X Brands in Austin, Texas. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, please stop using the site.

What this site is

This site publishes writing, interviews, industry commentary, a state law tracker, and free founder playbooks. It is an information and media site. Nothing is sold here. There is no cart and no checkout. Where the site links to Rebel X Brands or to any of its retail brands, those are separate businesses on separate sites with their own terms, and any purchase you make happens there and not here.

The state law tracker, read this part

The site publishes a map and tracker showing the legal status of kratom and hemp-derived products by state, along with bills in motion. It is offered in good faith and reviewed regularly, and it is still a plain-language summary, not legal advice, and not a substitute for your own counsel.

The law in this area changes quickly and sometimes without warning. Statutes take effect on dates that move. Agencies act ahead of legislatures. Cities and counties pass their own rules that a state-level map cannot show. A state marked one way here may be another way tomorrow, or may already be another way in your specific city.

If you are making a decision that matters, whether to stock a product, ship into a state, open a location, or anything with money or liability attached, verify the current law with a qualified attorney in that jurisdiction before you act. Do not rely on this map alone. We accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of it.

The founder playbooks are free. Subscribing to the newsletter is how you receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, and doing so does not oblige you to explain why.

The playbooks are for your own use. You are welcome to quote them with attribution. Please do not repackage or resell them.

This site is intended for adults. Do not use it or submit information through it if you are under 18. The industry it covers carries a minimum age of 21 across most of the United States.

Intellectual property

The writing, photography, video, design, and code on this site belong to Kemal Whyte or Rebel X Brands unless credited otherwise. You may read, share, and quote it with attribution and a link. You may not republish it wholesale, present it as your own, or use it to train a commercial model without written permission. Brand names and logos, including those of the Rebel X Brands portfolio, remain the property of their owners.

Links to other sites

The site links out to publications, brand sites, government sources, and social platforms. We do not control those, we are not responsible for what they publish or how they handle your data, and a link is not an endorsement.

Accuracy and availability

We work to keep this site accurate and online, and we cannot promise either without exception. Content may go out of date, and the site may be unavailable during maintenance or for reasons outside our control. The site is provided as is.
